Humans evolved a craving for sugar. In nature, high sugar foods are high calorie foods, and aren’t very common! We are hard wired to crave it!
 
So why is it that some of us can have moderation with sugar and some can’t keep our hands off the sweet stuff? That’s where genetics, addictive tendencies, health factors and our individual constitutions come into play.

Challenge Step 1: Getting started

Is this resonating with you? Are you ready to take a leap and cut out sugar for 30 days and see how you feel?

To get started, cut out ALL added sugar (cane sugar, beet sugar, high fructose corn syrup, etc) and refined carbohydrates (white flour, white bread, white pasta, pastries and cookies, etc).

This is really hard. I've been there.

Give yourself one full day to go through your kitchen to clear out those foods and DON’T bring them into the house during the cleanse.

Sugar is one of the most addictive things we have around. Going cold turkey is best. For success with this step we recommend carrying healthy fat and fiber-full snacks with you.

What to Expect

After detoxing from sugar, you should expect to have more energy, less aches and pains, chronic diseases improving, mood improving, less digestive upset, and the list goes on!

Natural Sweetness

Once you cut out sugar, you will find yourself tasting and loving the natural sweetness in foods. Berries, grass-fed dairy, carrots, squash, coconut milk, nut butters, are some of my favorites that I now can taste and appreciate the natural sweetness in.

Final Words

I find the status quo in the currently predominant food and the healthcare systems unacceptable. That’s why I have turned to a better way, naturopathic medicine. Hundreds of millions of people suffer from diet-related ailments while corporate and government policies make junk food normalized and subsidized.
 
I want to foster a healthcare system that acts like food matters. I want to foster a food industry that acts like health matters! And I want government policy that looks out for the wellbeing of we, the people.
